My first major in college was marine biology, but art was a gift I was born with and later learned to love. Since graduating from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, I have been freelance illustrator for the past sixteen years. My work has been published in most well known national and regional consumer magazines including: Business Week, Time, Outside, The Chicago Tribune, The Washington Post and The New York Times. My illustrations have appeared in the corporate communications of Motorola, Ameritech, Zenith, and UPS to name a few. Along the way, my work was honored with a few national and regional awards. I have now come full circle. My lifelong love with the waters, rivers, the country they pass through, and the creatures that inhabit them, are now married to my art. Hence, Fish Face Goods was born. Unlike tradionalists, I do not want to be drawn in by details. I am inspired by the feelings aroused in me from being in the outdoors, fishing and hunting. I want my work to capture those experiences, like catching fish. Not just about the moment, like a still life, but about the experience as a whole.

Look, feel, smell the art of fishing. The look on someone's face after releasing that fish of a lifetime. Feel the fight of a trophy Muskie at the end of your line. Smell the fresh walleye sizzling in the frying pan on the shore of a Canadian shield lake. These are emotions I will do my best to capture in my art.
